What is an .xlsx file?
It is Excel's standard workbook format: a zipped set of XML files holding sheets, values and formulas. Any tool that understands the format can read it, and this one does it locally. If the file is an older .xls, try the XLS viewer.
Frequently asked questions
Why will my file not open?
It may be password-protected, damaged, or not really a spreadsheet. Try opening it in Excel and saving a fresh copy.
Is it safe to open files from email here?
